Chairs - C12 Trannon Active Chair
New version just out.
Like all the Trannon range, stimulating design is born of fresh, practical thinking.
The first version was designed in 2002 as a chair for working in. The reaction from its users who are accustomed to "all singing, all dancing" task chairs is relief at C12's simplicity, compactness, good looks and the range of postures it supports.
This new version, entirely re-designed, has all the benefits of its predecessor, but includes much simpler and more effective ash torsion spring for the back which now doubles as a strengthening rail and new seat springs which are simpler and incorporate an adjustment for seat depth.
The seat pivots forward with your body weight to provide a negative seat angle. Not having the conventional 5 star base allows your feet to go well below the seat, which is advantageous when sitting forward, giving a seating posture very like a kneeling chair but without the sore knees. The back in combination with the rest of the frame, yields to your body's movements encouraging dynamic posture.
Trannon Active C12 is as suited to the boardroom or meeting room as to the personal desk - wherever minds are active.
It does not comply with BS anything, which effectively requires a standard task chair with every imaginable adjustment, with all the complexity, weight and bulk that implies.
